As part of our bigger solar project we also took on the task of replacing our old flourescent light tubes with energy efficient LED’s.. Lights in the classroom are our biggest energy users on campus .. In total, we replaced 920 58W flourescent tubes with 20W LED tubes.
Our energy usage has been dramatically reduced.
Edgemead High took part in the RGB Gaming Overwatch 2 event at Comic Con Cape Town 2023. We are proud to announce that Edgemead High won the competition and went undefeated throughout the event. We competed against Rondebosch Boys, Paarl Boys and Paul Roos.

Congratulations to Gemma Telemachus who has been selected to represent the Western Cape with her dance studio @lmriacademyofdance at the Hip Hop International Gauteng and South African Dance Championships. This will take place from the 26th to the 28th of April at Silver Star Casino in Krugersdorp, Gauteng.

Our grade 8 learners were given the opportunity to visit the Diamond museum; what a exciting and informative experience. They viewed the different diamonds and gem stones and were even allowed to try on some of the jewelry.
This week our Mountain Biking team had the privilege of meeting professional mountain bikers. 🚵🏽
Grade 8 learner, Brooklyn Cronje was chosen as a member of the Tygerberg Children’s Choir that will be touring to the United Kingdom from the 22nd of April to the 2nd of May.
