Chess
Elsiesriver High and EHS tied for 1st position in our block based on match points. However, the tie was broken based on game points. In our block we had 17.5 game points and Elsiesriver High had 21.5 game points. Hence, in our block we placed 2nd.
The EHS players played phenomenally well. Elsiesriver High had 3 players preparing for SA colours and our players went toe to toe with our second seat player Ryan Yang winning every game he played on Saturday. If a player of the day were to be awarded, Ryan Yang (Gr. 9St) would have taken that trophy.
